I've sat and ate dessert in a resturant with one on and no one i was with noticed at all - it even made a slight tapping noise as i used my spoon...

My advice is...don't worry about it...but if you go to You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login they have some pretty damn good ones (and cheap) and they usually give you the dimensions if you are that worried...

Of course there's the old plonking it in hot water thing to do too...(yes i am still talking about a TT)...
