First Plausible “Flying Car” a Success
      

The Terrafugia Transition, nicknamed Terrafugia's "You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login," had a successful debut on March 5 at New York's Plattsburgh International Airport, making it the first plausible flying car to take flight.  

It can be driven at highway speeds but also flown at 10,000 feet, after a 30-second transformation from car to plane.  

Each vehicle will cost about $200,000, and you can pre-order one for a mere $10,000 deposit.  They're scheduled to hit the retail market in 2011.
