SEC charges Birmingham, Ala., mayor in muni case

Reuters - The U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission on Wednesday said it has charged the mayor of
Birmingham, Alabama, and two of his friends in connection with
an undisclosed payment scheme in municipal bond deals.
