How to Burn CD Using Windows XP Step by Step?

If you are using windows XP home or professional edition, you can write and rewrite the CD using built-in windows XP CD burning software. There are many third party CD burning software’s available in the market, but windows XP CD burner easier than you think. Before writing data to CD, you computer must be equipped with a drive that is capable of writing a blank CD.

 

Follow the given steps to write a CD in windows XP:

First insert a blank CD in your computer CD burner, a small windows popup will appear with the information “Open CD folder using windows Explorer”.



Here select the option “Open CD folder using windows Explorer” and press OK. 

Now a windows will appear with the content of your writer drive letter, here you can drag and drop the files and folders that you want to write on blank CD. 



After drag and drop required items, click on the “Write these files to CD” link located in upper left corner of the window under section ”CD Writing Tasks”.

Now a Writing wizard will appear, to ask set the name of your CD. Insert any suitable name here and click on Next button.   

Now a wizard start to adding data to the CD and data writing process start on CD from buffer it will takes time according to the size of your data. 



At the end, completing the CD writing Wizard will appear, here if you want to write same data on other CD then select the option "Yes, write these files to another CD" and click on Finish to complete the process.
