S.C. police to ticket gum pole violators

AP - The gum poles have been an unsightly Charleston landmark for years and now authorities want to do something about them. It seems three utility poles at the entrance to the South Carolina city's popular outdoor market are routinely plastered with used chewing gum in a rainbow of colors. Workers clean away the gum only to see more return.
