Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs drew cheers from a crowd of Apple developers on Monday with the launch of a new 3G iPod. The announcement was widely expected, but analysts were impressed with a low introductory price point of $199 for a model with 8 GB of memory -- and Apple's broad international distribution footprint.
