PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Chipmaker ON Semiconductor Corp  on Tuesday dropped its hostile offer to acquire Atmel Corp , leaving bidding partner Microchip Technology Inc  to look for other ways to pursue a deal with Atmel.<div class="feedflare">
