Audiences are bound to get more get Michael Jackson than they bargained for with a live musical that pays tribute to his life in music. The production will see several incarnations of the King of Pop over
his 40 year career, as the show covers hits from his early days with his brothers in Motown's 'Jackson Five' up to his 1991 album 'Dangerous'. Four children and another four adults will sing and dance as Jackson in the theatre musical. To help lend some authenticity to the show, the production has
recruited some inside help. Ricko Baird is one of the singers and dancers playing Jackson on stage
- and it's not the first time he has impersonated music legend. Baird not only doubled for Jackson in the the number one hit 'You Rock My World' - but choreographed the video as well.
He has also performed live with Jackson on stage during the Michael Jackson and Friends Tour.'
Far from being a biography or story about Jacko's life (or his well publicised legal troubles, financial woes, and plastic surgery), the show will focus on his music, with more than two hours of hits including 'ABC,' Thriller, 'Bad,' 'Beat It,' and 'Billy Jean,'just to name a few.
'Thriller Live' opens at London's Lyric Theatre January 21.
