            This is a video response to the other guy who did this on youtube. It is Microsoft Flight Simulator X Tutorial 12, helicopter maneuvers 2. It is the hardest tutorial for helos. I beat his vertical course time by over 1 minute. All realism settings are on full. I am using a Saitek AV8R-01 joystick with rudder twist (you twist the stick instead of using your feet). I will be getting foot pedals soon, which should make me a better fake pilot.

My computer is old and slow so I had to turn the graphics settings down in order to record this. I used fraps to record.

I find the best way to climb the hill is to get a lot of speed on your way there and then pull back when you reach the first target. This allows you to climb while in a nose-up attitude so you can see the next targets, plus you have enough speed to keep going forward. I am actually lowering collective while going up the hill (for the first few targets anyway).

Bash me on the landing if you want, it is the hardest part, and I pulled it off in one take. You'll notice in the other video the timer disappears before he makes his landing which means he saved and restarted until he got it right. Mine is one take.

Sorry for the low graphics and sometimes-choppy video. You have to work with what you got sometimes.

NOTE: The in-picture window is purely for the sake of the video. I did not reference it when flying. In fact, it got in my way!

I challenge anyone to beat my time of 1:34 on the vertical course. It's a shame they don't keep the timer going until you stick the landing.
