Now you can make students hear the other stories or you can just pin the stories in the correct order, together with students illustrations, and let students read the stories for themselves. There might not be time for a surprise, but who is going to remember about this, anyway?

Register or Login, depending on the number of students and the stories, ask the students to put the stories together and to read to each other their parts. It is going to be easier than would have been before, as the students have already said the stories and they know something and they have read through the texts several times. So they will be very comfortable when reading aloud.
Group students randomly, four students in each group, and ask them to show their drawings to the others. The others are going to "read" everything and, in their own words, retell the piece of story. Now, they need to realize if the fragments can be linked together. If two fragments can be linked together, the two students remain seated while the others go to find their story. Ask them to read the fragments carefully and then to draw something related to what they read.  This part is useful because they can use their other abilities in order to transmit a message. Now, that this part is finished, get on to the next one.
Then, arise a little bit of interest by starting a conversation with them. Ask them different questions until you get to a subject related to the text they are going to read. You can also use a little bit of brainstorming.
One of the first things we can do is to tell them that we are going to read (and using we instead of you is important to them) something special. And that after that they are going to have a surprise.
When teaching a foreign language, making students read is very difficult. This is because students, or most of tehm, to be fair, do not like reading. So making them read something is just a very difficult process, but that needs to be taken into consideration if we want our students be proficient in this skill. So,You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, let's see what we can do to make them read anxiously.
