Steve worked as the analyst on Baseball Tonight, a popular show at the channel. He had risen steadily through the ranks ever since he joined the channel.

Steve’s wife lodged a complaint stating threat calls from Broke Hundley after the relationship was over. She further stated that Hundley had even come over once to their house unbidden. Steve’s affair with ESPN employee Brooke Hundley became known a week back. The details of the short but steamy affair was published in the New York Post. The two had met while working at the All-Star game. Brooke is currently the production assistant at the channel. When news of the affair became public, the channel took the analyst to task. They also granted him a leave of absence for a week. The channel issued a public statement that said that Steve did not work with he channel anymore. His representative, Steve Lefkowitz said that he had quit in order to enroll himself in a treatment facility to solve the problems that he faced in his personal life. He still had two years of work with the channel before his contract expired.
