Before entering Thailand, retirees are advised to apply for a Non-immigrant visa as a prelude to a Retirement visa. The latter can be obtained upon arrival in the country.   B. See to it that you comply with the following requirements:  a. You must be 50 years old or over upon submitting the application.  b. You do not have any criminal record in Thailand or in your home country.  c. You are not banned from entering Thailand under the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (A.D.1979).  d. You should be a national or resident of the country where you submitted your application.  e. Under the provisions of the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535), you should not be a carrier of prohibitive diseases such as Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Drug Addiction, Elephantiasis and a particular stage of Syphilis.  C. If you meet the above-mentioned qualifications, the next step is to submit the following documents:  a. A passport valid for at least 18 months  b. Personal data form   c. Three (3) completed copies of visa application forms  d. Three (3) passport-sized photos taken within  six (6) months   e. A copy of a bank statement showing that you have 800,000 Baht in your deposit account. You can also submit an income certificate which states that you have a monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht. Another option is to submit a copy of a bank statement stating that your combined deposit account and monthly income amounts to not less than 800,000 Baht.  f. Along with the bank statement, ask your bank for a letter of guarantee and submit the original copy.   g. Verification letter stating that you do not have a criminal record in your country. It should be notarized by the notary publics or by the consular or diplomatic mission. The verification will be valid for not more than three (3) months.  h. Medical certificate from your country stating that you do not have prohibitive diseases. The certificate must be also notarized either by the notary publics or by the consular or diplomatic mission.   i. Submit your marriage certificate that is duly notarized either by the notary publics or by the consular or diplomatic mission in case your accompanying spouse is not qualified for a Non-Immigrant O-A Visa. The notarized marriage certificate functions as evidence that your spouse can use in order to be considered for a temporary stay under the Category O visa.  D. Upon furnishing all the required documents, you can now submit your retirement visa application to the Royal Thai Embassy. You also have the option to directly submit your application to the Office of the Immigration Bureau in Thailand.   For single entries, you need to pay 2,You are not allowed to view links.
