The backchannels are afire with ‘semi-confirmed’ rumors that indicate the coupe is in the production picture. Lexus VP of marketing, Brian Smith, let it drop to Wards Auto that Japan was overwhelmed by the response to the prototype and has elected to do the car. But Lexus wouldn’t admit anything beyond the old ‘studying the potential’ standby.
