5Zigen Wheels & A-Spec Hub Adapter - Setting It Off In The Summer

5Zigen Wheels & A-Spec Hub Adapter - Import Car After Market Parts - Super Street Magazine
School should be out by now so we can expect 5 percent less traffic when we're driving to the shops to work on our cars. We told you that we're always going to update you on what we do to our project car fleet and we've kept our word for the most part. This month we have three cars getting some love in the garage. Oooh, summer garage love. That sounds good.

Personal Steering Wheel, A-Spec Hub and Works Bell Quick Release
Nothing takes away from the feel of a sports car more than a big lumpy steering wheel. Sure, if you're driving a luxury car you want to have things like A/C, phone and radio controls at your fingertips. But in a sports car, that puts too many gadgets on the steering wheel when simplicity is really what's necessary. We decided to yank the stock wheel out of Rikdaddy's NSX and throw on a 350mm black leather Personal steering wheel that we picked up from A-Spec using their hub adapter. We've also added the Works Bell quick release so he can pretend he's a real racecar driver even though we all know he's not. Because of the swap we lost that bulky airbag, but who needs airbags anyway-especially when there are funbags to play with.

5Zigen GN+ Wheels
After Carter fixed the wiring problem in his 240SX, he found out that he's been rolling on wheels with the wrong offset this whole time. The inside of his tires have been rubbing against his suspension for so long that they have a deep groove in them. Not too safe. Since he's upgrading to the five-lug hubs anyway he hit up 5Zigen for some wheels that will fit on his car. He said he's painting the car gray, but the last two cars he's taken to the body shop have never made it back out. If this one does, it'll have a pimp set of 18x7.5 +35 (front) 18x8.5 +33 (rear) bronze 5Zigen GN+ wheels waiting for it. These will clear the coilovers and big brakes, which tend to be problematic for the S13 240SX.

Nitto NeoGen Tires
Going against warnings from Nitto, we have been daily driving our SRT-4 on the street with the NT01 tires. To keep it short, we've pushed the NT01s to their limit. Right now they're balder than Britney and aren't really the best application to be pounding through the potholes of LA. So it's time to swap those smooth rubbers out for some new ones. But since the NT01 was more of a track tire than a street one, this time around we opted for a different member of the Nitto family. You've probably seen the NeoGen tires plastered on some billboard when you're driving around town, or maybe not. Well, we have so we figured we'd give them a try. The NeoGen rubbers are perfect for street driving, which is mainly what our SRT-4 is confined to. They handle great in both wet and dry scenarios and have a unique tread design that allows the tire to wear evenly when a car has negative camber. That's ideal for all you lowered car owners out there. Thanks to STi Motorsports for mounting and balancing them for us.
