Bisi Ezerioha and Nobuteru Taniguchi - Up Close And Personal

Bisi Ezerioha and Nobuteru Taniguchi - Up Close And Personal - Super Street Magazine
Meet The Scene's Hottest Drivers
Bisi Ezerioha and Nobuteru Taniguchi are two of the most dynamic racers in the world. Bisi, a master of chemical engineering, developed his own single-cam package to become one of the fastest naturally aspirated Hondas to power down the 1,320 without the aid of VTEC or a second camshaft. "NOB" has been a strong racing force ever since he started to compete, and remains a long time favorite of drifters and grip racers alike. To say we are proud to have both of these men highlighted in Super Street would be a gross understatement.

Nobuteru "Nob" Taniguchi
Nobuteru Taniguchi began racing motorcycles at a young age in Japan, and at 18 years old, won the Japan Mini Bike National Championship. Shortly after, Taniguchi broke both legs and one arm while racing his motorcycle, which made him realize that two-wheel racing was no laughing matter. Taniguchi's passion for racing and competition remained strong, so he took an interest in tuning cars and drifting. He started to practice his driving skills on the mountains near his home in Hiroshima and various track events. In '99 Bride offered Taniguchi the chance to race their Honda Civic in the Suzuka Club-Man race. Taniguchi won that race and six months later he successfully defended his win, again at Suzuka. His repeat performance caught the eyes of the Japanese racing community and propelled him into professional racing. Taniguchi is known as one of the most versatile drivers in Japan because of his skills at both grip driving and drifting. In '01 Taniguchi won the D1 Grand Prix Championship while also competing in Japan's endurance series, Super Taikyu. Taniguchi continued to compete in D1 and Super Taikyu until '05. During his time racing in Super Taikyu he was the series champion twice. In '02 Taniguchi began racing in Japan's highest level of motorsports, JGTC (now called Super GT). He has had numerous wins and podium finishes in the series, and in '06 he finished third place overall in the GT300 drivers standings. Taniguchi currently continues to race in Super GT and other various motorsports, like our Super Lap Battle.!

Bisi Ezerioha
In '89 and at the tender age of 15, Bisi Ezerioha came to the U.S. as a chemical engineering major-of course, it didn't hurt that he has an IQ of 146. After receiving his bachelor's and master's degrees, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nine years, and at the same time found a great interest in drag racing Hondas with a twist: SOHC with no VTEC. He developed his own winning engine package under the guise of Bisimoto Engineering, designing the first Honda-to-Honda drag adapter plate, and even manufactured his own race fuel from '94 to '96, until he was banned. Bisi carries the distinct honor of having built and driven the fastest and quickest carbureted FWD in the world, the fastest street D-series all motor Honda with a 12.68 at 107mph and has the fastest full-race D-series all motor Honda with a 10.77 at 123mph. He also speaks with this real funny "British" accent, just like Alan!

Nobuteru Taniguchi HKS Racing
