Huawei unveils MatePad Pro 12.2" with PaperMatte display, Freebuds 6 go global

Huawei held an event today to showcase its latest wearables. Alongside those we saw the announcement of a new tablet and the international release of another set of TWS earbuds.

The tablet is called MatePad Pro 12.2" and is a natural evolution from the 2024 version launched last summer. It has a PaperMatte display with a Tandem OLED panel underneath, but it retains the same 508g body, 10,100 mAh battery and 100W wired charging.

The earbuds are the Freebuds 6, available in China since March 2025. They offer AI noise cancelling and a redesigned audio driver for clearer output.
