How to Find Out Whether a SQL Server 2000 Installation Is 32-Bit or 64-Bit

Q

How can I tell whether my SQL Server 2000 installation is 32-bit or 64-bit?

A

You should be able to tell by running a SELECT @@version statement in SQL Query Analyzer.

If you have 32-bit, you will see the following:

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.818 (Intel X86)

If you have 64-bit, you will see the following:

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.818 (Intel IA-64)
