Adobe shares surge on strong 1Q profit

AP - Shares of Adobe Systems Inc. climbed 13 percent Wednesday, a day after the software maker reported a 52 percent jump in its first-quarter profit amid strong demand for design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver and for its Acrobat publishing tool.
