HBOS gets 8 pct take-up for $8 billion rights issue
      

LONDON (Reuters) - British bank HBOS Plc  said shareholders subscribed to buy just 8.3 percent of shares in its 4 billion pound ($8 billion) rights issue, leaving its underwriters to try to sell almost 3.8 billion pounds of shares.
